Katie Zachary

Originally from Colorado, Katie grew up spending summer vacations primarily in the Caribbean and Hawaii, fostering her love for temperate climates and the ocean. Knowing she wanted to move somewhere warmer, in 2006 she graduated from Colorado State University in 3 years with a B.A. in Marketing and two weeks later moved to St. John.  She met her husband, Joe, and they both fell in love with island life, soon after deciding to call St John their permanent home.

Katie holds a 100 ton US Coast Guard Captains license with various endorsements, and can be found frequently exploring the waters of St. John and the BVI.  In 2015 with their combined experience on the water she and her husband created Love City Excursions, a private day charter business based out of Cruz Bay.  With her experience in running a business and on the waters of the virgin islands, she has developed a strong understanding of the vacation rental scene and the tourism industry. This and her passion for architecture and design as well as a love for the island of St. John led Katie to begin her career in real estate in order to help others fulfill their dream of owning a piece of the Caribbean.
