Abigail Schnell OConnell

Abigail was born and raised in St. John, USVI. Working in her family’s pottery studio and vacation villa rental businesses from a young age gave her an early advantage in St. John’s unique real estate market. One of the pioneering students to attend the first private elementary institution on St. John, now known as Gifft Hill School, Abigail moved on to attend the Antilles College Preparatory School in St. Thomas. After graduation, she attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before excelling in Public Relations with prominent, high-end retailer Neiman Marcus. Abigail went on to join the Galleria Collection of Fine Homes Real Estate firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and succeeded quickly in the hot and competitive market. This experience inspired and propelled her to make her long-time dream come true—she returned home to St. John, USVI, in the summer of 2002 and began her real estate career with Holiday Homes.

A veteran of the real estate industry and island lifestyle, Abigail is accustomed to rolling out the red carpet treatment when it comes to accommodating the unique needs of luxury clients. Her dedication, understanding, unparalleled island background, knowledge, and community connections exceed expectations throughout the buying and selling process. Abigail takes a personalized approach to client service and acts as your island life concierge to help establish and guide local connections throughout the USVI.

Abigail considers herself truly blessed to have her family living on St. John and is passionate about the historic preservation of St. John’s natural beauty, environment, and eco-culture. She loves connecting clients with St. John philanthropic community members to help them find new ways to give back. Abigail previously served in various officer positions on the St. John Board of Realtors and the National Park Advisory Council. Shetakes part in the St. Therese Catholic Chapel building committee in Coral Bay, which assists with planning and development. A Gifft Hill School alumn, Abigail continuously contributes to their many events and programs and currently works on the Capital Improvement Committee for the future development of campuses. She also works closely with St. John School of the Arts and advises their real estate portfolio to solidify the school’s future endowment. Actively involved with the Great Cruz Bay and the Estate Chocolate Hole Landowners' Associations Boards, Abigail is passionate about maintaining, uplifting, and supporting her community today and for the generations of tomorrow.
