As the largest and most well known of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St Croix is a popular destination for both retirees and travelers due to the tropical climate and abundant coastline for beach activities and scenic golf courses.

Considered a melting pot of cultural influences, St. Croix is  set apart by its unique food culture and rich history.  Influences from the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and North America pervade the island’s cuisine, music, architecture, and festivals – including the iconic Carnival (or Crucian Christmas Festival). Local cuisine reflects many of the staple crops of the Caribbean.

Christiansted and Frederiksted are the two main towns on St. Croix, and they illustrate different aspects of St Croix’s culture. In Christiansted, you’ll find Denmark’s influence on the island is apparent with 18th and 19th-century homes; in Frederiksted, discover the island pace of life with adventures through tropical rain forest and scuba diving.

Some of the island’s most popular neighborhood include Judith’s Fancy, Green Cay, and the Shoys with offerings ranging from luxury homes to private villas to condominiums. With the island being only 22 miles long and 7 miles wide, the beach is never more than 15 minutes away no matter where you live on the island.
