"When we were looking for a home on St John, we wanted to buy an existing house and not have to build, but we couldn't find anything as perfect for our needs as this lot on Klein Bay, so we built Serenata. These were our reasons:
We could use the ocean, any minute of the day, for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or small boat sailing in a beautiful, calm bay-with such ease, and with so few people using it, that it felt like our own.
We could set out from the house and take long walks-up into the neighborhoods with high up views or down into Fish Bay leading to more high views, some great ruins, and even down to the shore of Reef Bay-an endless variety of beautiful walks.
We could drive to town in 7 minutes, with hardly any traffic.
And we could swim in our pool or sit in our outdoor room, in a quiet, private setting-with gorgeous views stretching out to the horizon-and always, the sound of the sea! Because of our stone beach, the waves make a unique sound as they recede, which delighted us. That is why we named our home Serenata de la Playa, or serenade from the beach.
Our home, then, is going to appeal to those buyers looking for a place where they can touch the ocean and hear the ocean all day long-and engage in all their outdoor activities-right from their front door. We think it is, absolutely, the best spot on the island!"

"This large villa with pool/guest house was just amazing. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We travelled with our extended family over Christmas and couldn't have asked for a better time. 
All of the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning and comfy beds with plenty of pillows. Each of the 5 rooms had it's own bathroom with an outdoor shower with a wonderful view of the ocean.
The kitchen was well equipped for cooking with gas stove, all the appliances you would need, large fridge and plenty of counter space.
The place we all gathered most of the time was on the wonderful, huge porch. There was always someone out there reading, eating or just enjoying the view. The pool was wonderful as well.
 What I really loved about this place is you can snorkel from the beach (which is very easily accessible). And the snorkeling was fantastic! Better than any other place we snorkeled on the island. Both sides of Rendezvous Bay are rocky with coral reefs and had interesting and diverse fish and coral. We even saw a giant spotted eagle ray! I can't wait to go back and can't think of any place on the island I would rather stay!"
